A Better World?

To mark the centenary of the Armistice in 2018, the National Library of Scotland put on an exhibition to examine how life would have been like in Scotland after the First World War. Hillside were commissioned to develop the design theme and all associated promotional material, from posters and flyers, to animations and social media content. Post war Scotland had many difficult challenges, but we wanted to develop a strong, bright and optimistic design to represent peoples' struggle for a better future. We took inspiration from the illustrated 1920s posters in the Library’s Collections to achieve this.
